Kerry Homecoming Festival at Halloween
The Kerry Homecoming Festival at Halloween takes place from 18th October to 1st November 2024 as part of the Global Irish Festival Series. The festival programme features close to fifty FREE events and activities such as Samhain spectacles, storytelling, Jack-o-Lantern carving, genealogy workshops and heritage talks, star-gazing, an American Wake at Kerry Writers Museum and much, much more.

The festival is supported by Fáilte Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs encourages Kerry’s diaspora to visit during the festival and reconnect to their communities. The Festival is a truly unique opportunity for the thousands of Kerry people around the world to make the trip home and celebrate the culture of their home county, uncover shared histories and forge new, lasting connections.
Halloween comes from an ancient Celtic festival called Samhain, the festival of Samhain celebrates the end of the annual harvest season and the coming of winter.
